Oscar's nickname is "The Big O," Gladys does not have a nickname. 

Oscar belongs to the La Mesa Club and the Division 100 MMQ Club at Children's Hospital San Diego.   Gladys is a member of the Division 100 MMQ Club. 

Oscar has been in Kiwanis beginning in 1979, and in the La Mesa Club since 1987.
Gladys has been in Kiwanis for 4 years and has been named Kiwanian of the Year for her work with the Health and Safety Fair at Children’s Hospital. 

Oscar's birthday is September 6th, Gladys' birthday is April 3rd. 

They have been married for 40 years and have three daughters, Tracey, Piper and Tuesdae.  They are blessed with two grandsons, Dante 13 and Jensen 7. 

Oscar and Gladys are sports enthusiast with basketball being the primary interest. 

Oscar is a Silver Medalist in basketball at the Senior Olympics. 

Gladys became interested in Sickle Cell Anemia and became a State Certified Counselor.  She later opened three clinics in Englewood, Compton and Pasadena. 

Oscar has been an advisor for Key Club and is one of those strange people that actually like teenagers. 

They are currently sponsoring a Pediatric Trauma Fellow at Children's Hospital, San Diego. 

I think that we should get back the primary focus of Kiwanis and our relationship with the youth we sponsor (especially the KEY Club – since KEY stands for Kiwanis Educating Youth).
